What is a Squeeze Page?

A squeeze page is a web page that provides information that would be of interest to the marketer’s targeted readers.

A squeeze page will have the sole intention to capture a lead, this can be achieved through link redirection or gathering a prospects name and email address.

A squeeze page is a single web page with the fundamental purpose of follow-up marketing. Differing from the pop-up advertisement, squeeze pages are designed to draw attention to specific areas like discounts or offers around the website the user is on.

For example, if you were on a website that specialised in document storage it would be helpful to have an instant quote for the number of boxes you are looking to store. A squeeze page could bring this quote calculation page up when you click on the website, directing customers to the main service.

Creating a squeeze page requires substantial research beforehand, your squeeze page must be compelling, informative and convincing. You can only achieve this however it you know enough about your target audience.

Why Use Squeeze Pages?

Squeeze pages are useful in terms of the compact but interesting information they are able to provide. They easily point the visitor’s attention to the main focus of the website and provide an eye-catching display which will hopefully provoke the reader’s interest and lead to an enquiry or sale.

Squeeze pages display essential information on a single company, they do not attempt to redirect anywhere else and the people who have found themselves on a squeeze page are there because they have searched for the topic in question. In this format, squeeze pages are significantly different from other forms of marketing as they are directly related to the website and are there for informative purposes.

Advantages of Squeeze Pages

Squeeze pages are essential to extra marketing efforts, they can build upon your crucial emailing lists and give an even broader base of the audience that is being targeted.

Squeeze pages are useful for both the company and the customer as it easily directs attention to the main focus of the page, saving the customer time.

A squeeze page can also offer an incentive for a visitor to give their details. This could be to enter a competition or to be updated on new savings and discounts that may be coming up.
